Everyday People: The Art of James E. Ransom

Coretta Scott King prize winner James E. Ransome illustrated over sixty children's picture books covering a wide range of subjects. Ransom's bright oil, acrylic and watercolor paintings depict inspirational stories about unknown characters such as Uncle Jed and Aunt Flossi, as well as people who have gone down in history such as Sojourner East, Frederick Douglas, Louis Armstrong and Satchel Paige.
