Long Beach Museum of Latin American Art presents an exhibition
Portfolio: Osmeivy Ortega".
Artworks Ortega inspired by the landscapes and experiences of his childhood. The exhibits presented at this exhibition - based on images of animals - are contrasted with his subtle political and social statements, where there is no human figure. His work seems refined, although, paradoxically, elementary methods are used, and sometimes recycled materials.
Osmeivy Ortega has been recognized as one of the most promising artists in the Caribbean press world. Ortega studied at the National Academy of Fine Arts in San Alejandro in Havana, and in 2010 graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts (ISA) in Cuba.
