Alexander Onishchenko. Mystery of the Black Cloth

The Odessa Museum of Western and Oriental Art hosts an exhibition of photographs and paintings by Alexander Onishchenko “Mystery of the Black Cloth". The author uses imprimaturu (color tinting of the surface of the finished white soil), writes on a painted canvas - exclusively black. This style emphasizes the details and the special atmosphere in the works of the master. The artist works with a palette knife, which makes his work relief, expressive and alive. The works of the author belong to the style of avant-garde and neo-impressionism.

Alexander Onishchenko is an artist from Ukraine, born in Chernigov. He has been living and working in Prague for more than 25 years. He took an active part in exhibitions in the Czech Republic, Germany, France, Spain, UK, USA, etc. He opened his gallery Jakubska in Prague, where you can see his new paintings. The founder of the "Private International Art School of Black Canvas". He invented his famous painting technique on a black background in 1986 in Bulgaria.
