David Voinarovich. History takes my dream
Reina Sofia Art Center in Madrid presents the exhibition "David Voinarovich. History takes my dream".

From the late 1970s until his premature death in 1992 due to AIDS-related complications, David Voinarovich (New Jersey, USA, 1954-1992) performed conceptually rigorous work and was stylistically diverse. His career combines a wide range of forms, media and devices, including the use of photography as a narrative tool; using the collage as a support for criticism and political positioning based on the poverty of the environment itself; the adoption of painting to explore various allegorical procedures, or the use of photomontage and text to appeal to the politics of strangeness and identity, which also marked his role as an activist.
