July 7, in a London auction house
Christie's launched the exhibition "Splash!" (Splash!). A variety of work – from op art to pop art, from the sensual shapes to colorful abstractions – were brought from all over the world.
Visitors can easily escape here from the heat of summer, vibrant color palette of David Hockney (and of course "swim" in his famous "pools"), lost among the patterns of Sigmar Polke and enjoy the sensuality of the creations of Tom Wesselman.
This summer-fresh and remarkable exhibition presents the paintings of talented contemporary artists from different countries, Martin Kippenberger, Mel Ramos, ed Rushi, Alexander Calder, Willem de Kooning, Victor Vasarely, Jean-Michel Basquiat and many others.
The exhibition runs until 28 July, and all the works presented here will be available in the forthcoming First Open auctions and After-War and Contemporary Day.
