Boris Lurie. Changed man

Exhibition September 6 − October 30, 2019
The Chocolate House Kiev Art Center and the Kiev Picture Gallery National Museum together with the Boris Lurie Art Foundation (New York, USA) present Boris Lurie's exhibition “Changed People”. The exhibition includes paintings, collages and sculptures.

The works presented at the exhibition are a Dadaist gesture of destroying a hated object. The artist, who survived four concentration camps, believed that only rebellion could be morally justified in the “total concentration camp” of our time. A vision of the world as a total concentration camp where people ruthlessly destroy their own kind; the world as a brothel, where a man, namely a woman, turns into an object - became a support and guide in the art of the master.
Boris Lurie (1924-2008) - American non-conformist artist and writer, founder of the NO! Art.
