The Lipetsk Regional Art Museum in the House of Masters holds an exhibition of the national artist of Russia V. S. Sorokin"The color of time".
The exposition presents more than 40 paintings from the funds of the Lipetsk Regional Art Museum and private collections. Among them are the early works of the master, created in the 1950-60s, and magnificent examples of the late period of his work.
Interest in the artist’s work has not declined over the years. All the works presented at the exhibition are united by the powerful energy of color contrast, captivating the viewer with the colorful variety and excitement of the author. In any of his work, the viewer is invariably struck by the beauty and unexpectedness of complex painting. Sorokin had an extraordinary ability to see and convey on canvas something that for many remains invisible.
