Raphael and his circle

Exhibition February 16 − June 14, 2020
Raphael (1483–1520) was one of the greatest artistic figures working in the Western classical tradition.

As part of the celebration of the 500th anniversary of his death, the National Gallery of Art in Washington presents the exhibition "Raphael and his circle".

Works on display will illustrate how the influences of Raphael's art formed the standard of aesthetic excellence for later artists.

In addition to Rafael’s drawings and paintings, the exhibition will feature drawings by his closest associates and followers - Giulio Romano, Polidoro Caldara and Perino del Vaga.
