Other worlds. Painting by Nikas Safronov

Exhibition September 20, 2019 − January 19, 2020
The State Central Museum of Contemporary History of Russia holds an exhibition of Nikas Safronov “Other worlds”.

The exhibition features more than 100 paintings and graphic works created by the author from the late 1990s to 2019. These are works of various genres: landscapes, still lifes, portraits, surreal compositions in the unique author's style of Dream vision.

The artist’s works are presented not only in the traditional version - on canvases, but also with the help of modern multimedia technologies. Multimedia projections on the walls will transfer viewers to the world of the artist Nikas Safronov, and a seamless projection will create the illusion of a change in space, not only in the form of a digital decor, but also as an “independent storyteller”. The exposition is conceived in such a way that it has no beginning or end. The visitor becomes a participant in a continuous whirlpool of thoughts and images. Due to this, the artist’s art acquires additional volume, and the viewer receives a different perspective on perception.
