Talicska art gallery in London announced the exhibition of famous artist and writer Tove Jansson. The exhibition will show some 150 works, including a unique way of doing self-portraits and paintings never before privatisees in the UK.
Tove Jansson was born in the family of artist Signe Hammarsten and the sculptor Viktor Jansson. The girl's parents lived and breathed creativity, so it is not surprising that she followed in their footsteps. Having a high level of artistic education in Stockholm, Helsinki and Paris, the girl drew for magazines (which is interesting – first it was only at the age of 10 years), illustrated their own books, created the scenery, painted walls of kindergartens, schools and so on.
We know Tove Jansson in the first place created the world with cute, kind and like a real Moomin. On the other hand, its achievements in drawing and painting people outside Finland don't know not so good.
The niece of Tove Jansson Sofia recalled: "For Tuva extremely important was the recognition of her talent as an artist and not only as the Creator of the character Moomin Troll," and exhibition in Dalejske picture gallery will help visitors to get acquainted with other facets of creativity of this amazing woman.
