Joy for all the senses. West European still life of the 16th – 19th centuries

The Orenburg Regional Museum of Fine Arts hosts an exhibition of paintings from the collection of the State Hermitage“Joy for all the senses. Western European still life of the 16th – 19th centuries ”.
The exposition dedicated to one of the most interesting genres of painting presents forty-one paintings of the world-famous collection.
Visitors can see the works of leading art schools in Western Europe of the 16th-19th centuries: Flanders, Holland, Italy, Germany and France. The basis of the exhibition is the work of Dutch and Flemish painters, who are the instigators of still life as an independent branch of easel painting: A. Brueghel, J. Brueghel, J. van Heisum, J. Ruoppolo, M. del Campidoglio, F. Deporta, J. B. Get off.
The exhibition provides an opportunity to make a vivid idea of the originality of the genre, its main features, allows you to demonstrate the variety of themes and motifs that characterize the old European still life, and show the stability of its types in European art.
