Jaume Plensa: Beyond the Walls

In Mexico, the National Museum of Art presents the exhibition "Jaume Plensa: Beyond the Walls". The sculptor's works concern the very state of being, its physical and spiritual essence, consciousness of itself and its past, its moral codes and dogmas, its connection with nature. Among the exhibits is a giant sculpture of the head of a woman about seven and a half meters high and weighing about two tons, which used to be at the Rockefeller Center in New York.

Jaume Plensa was born in Barcelona in 1955, where he lives and works. He is the most recognized Spanish artist with an international name. He was awarded numerous awards for his artistic career. The sculptor is regularly exhibited in galleries and museums in Europe, the USA and Asia. His works are constantly installed in Spain, France, Japan, England, Korea, Germany, Canada, the United States, China.
