Sonya Delaunay: the rhythm of color

The French Institute in Ukraine and the Agency for Cultural Management Port.agency in the Kiev gallery Set present a large-scale exhibition "Sonya Delaunay: the rhythm of color". The exhibition includes unique documents: Delaunay correspondence with loved ones, as well as stained posters and books. The main exhibits will be two graphic works by the artist, which are stored in the National Art Museum of Ukraine.

A part of the exhibition was the author’s studio “The Power of Creativity”, representing artists and designers who follow the principles of the author’s approach and work at the intersection of the spheres - clothing and art design, functional design and education, textiles and decor. These are Ukrainian artists and painters Masha Reva, Florian Yuriev, sisters Yasya and Lesya Khomenko, Oksana Levchenya and the French artist Eva Tola.

Sonia Delaunay, an Odessa resident of Jewish descent, at an early age left Ukraine for St. Petersburg and then for Paris. The artist conquered her entire Western world with her talent. Her avant-garde ideas were embodied not only in art, but also in design, textiles, fashion, scenery for theatrical productions, etc.
