Hamburg Secession: 100 Years
Exhibition August 30, 2019 − January 5, 2020
The first exhibition, presented by the Hamburg Secession, opened in the Hamburg Kunsthall on December 14, 1919.
To the vastexposureincludes about 40 paintings and sculptures of 40 different members of the secession, including Alma del Banco, Karl Ballmer, Fritz Flint, Ivo Hauptmann, Paul Henle, Karl Klut, Dorothea Metzel. Johannsen, Rolf Nash, Anita Ri, Otto Rodewald, Heinrich Steinhagen, Heinrich Stegemann and Gretchen Walville.
Dialogues that arise between separate works speak of the high quality of art in Hamburg at the beginning of the 20th century.
