”The Fall of Haman”: Rembrandt’s painting in the mirror of time

The State Hermitage Museum presents an exhibition“The Fall of Haman”: A Picture of Rembrandt in the Mirror of Time ”.

In the center of the exposition is one of the most mysterious and impressive masterpieces of the collection of the museum "The Fall of Aman" after the restoration. Visitors will be able to get acquainted with one of the best in the world collection of paintings and graphic works by Rembrandt.

The project is a landmark part of the program of the Year of Rembrandt in Russia and is dedicated to the 350th anniversary of the death of the great artist. The Hermitage presents all periods of the artist’s creative work, from early works to works created in the last years of his life. The canvases of the master’s brushes are reserved for the whole hall, the museum houses an almost complete collection of his etchings. Separately, the exposition presents numerous works by his students (the Rembrandt School Hall).
