Exhibition October 19, 2019 − January 5, 2020

On the occasion of the 350th anniversary of the death of the artist, the Schwerin Museum presents an exhibition "Rembrandt Graphics from the museum's collection".

The museum stores a collection of 168 engravings by the master, many of which were acquired in the 18th century. A wide range of motifs include self-portraits and landscapes, genre and religious subjects, as well as some night scenes.

In recent works, Rembrandt contrasts bright and dark areas with various shadows and atmospheric effects.
