«GOAT"- the first personal museum presentation of the Cuban artist Thomas Esson.
Esson creates vibrant and grotesque paintings filled with dynamic energy, mythological references and political commentary.
The exhibition includes early works, as well as paintings from the series “Portraits” of Esson and his series “Wet Painting”.
Esson was born in Havana, Cuba, in 1963. He graduated from the Higher Institute of Arts in Havana in 1987. His works were presented at a number of scandalous exhibitions in the late 1980s, as he became a central figure in the Renaissance of Cuban art and began to be exhibited internationally.
