Travel on the edge of the wind

Exhibition November 8 − December 15, 2019
Museum of Modern Art “Artmuza” invites you to visit the exhibition“Traveling along the edge of the wind”.

On display are the work of the artist from Syktyvkar Inga Popovskaya.

Inga Popovskaya is a cosmopolitan artist, and not only because she works with many diverse locations with an indifferent degree of accuracy and enthusiasm, but also because she knows how to see space in any city. In her works, simple things - the corner of the house, wires over the intersection, tracks in the snow, the silhouette of mountains on the horizon - acquire dimensions of additional meanings. Just as a line encloses sound, so does the plane of the sheet enclose the universe. Inga’s work is a breeze. Displacement of air plans, flight, whirling - the wind breaks out of the leaf, bringing freshness, chills and forgotten joy from the purity of view. There is a lot of water in the works. Water and wind are creating elements of the landscape, and indeed life itself. Freedom of movement creates an image of a world that is bright, sweeping, sounding, moving, familiar and unfamiliar at the same time, but always alive.
