Nikolai Lukin. Mixed feelings

In Ivano-Frankivsk, the Center for Contemporary Art presents a solo exhibition by Nikolai Lukin, "Mixed Feelings." The exhibition includes works by the author over the past five years. In painting practice, the artist uses photography as a starting point. Then this material is carefully processed, rethought in a new art form and composition. The plot will never be revealed to the end, remaining only a subtle hint, which causes mixed feelings.

Nikolai Lukin was born, lives and works in Odessa. He graduated from the Odessa Art College and the South Ukrainian National Pedagogical University. Heads the department of easel painting and teaches at the Odessa Art College. He works mainly in the field of painting and graphics, sometimes refers to objects and installations. Member of All-Ukrainian art exhibitions and Biennale. The works are in private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Germany and in the permanent exhibition of the Odessa Museum of Modern Art.
