Life Lines: French Drawings from the Diamond Collection

Exhibition March 21 − August 23, 2020
Exhibition "Life Lines: French Drawings from the Diamond Collection"explores the many drawings of leading nineteenth-century French artists. The works of Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, Eugene Delacroix, Edgar Degas, Jean-Leon Gerome, Odilon Redon and many others illustrate the difference between academic traditions of body painting and freer approaches.

This exhibition features about thirty works from the remarkable collection of Herbert and Carol Diamond, which includes more than 100 French drawings and sculptures that the couple collected over the past half century.
