The State Hermitage Museum in the Blue Bedroom of the Winter Palace holds an exhibition"Leather. Artistic products of old Europe ".

The two main sections of the rich exposition are carved and embossed leather of the Middle Ages and Renaissance, wallpaper from gilded leather of the XVI-XIX centuries.

For the first time, the Hermitage turns to the topic of leather, introducing visitors to the art of artistic processing of this material in Western Europe. The exhibition only allows you to touch on a vast topic - the Hermitage collections are much richer and include furniture, carriages, book bindings, and archaeological materials.
