Dmitry Kaminker. Sculpture

Exhibition November 14, 2019 − January 7, 2020
The State Russian Museum presents an exhibition teeming with unexpected plastic moves and imagessculptures by Dmitry Kaminker.

The exhibition presents works performed by the famous St. Petersburg sculptor in different years. The exhibition’s exposition is not built on the chronological sequence of creating works, but on the principle of a wide display of the sculptor’s work in different materials - in bronze, stone, wood, plaster or paper.

Each material, in turn, fully reveals the features of the author's style and the diversity of his creative searches. The play of meanings, their multiplicity and layering, sometimes a paradoxical combination of myth and reality, history and modernity, distinguishes many of the sculptor's works, designed for serious and thoughtful reflection.

The concept of the exhibition, timed to the anniversary of the master, provides an opportunity to take a fresh look at his work, to see familiar compositions from a different angle and to get acquainted with the work performed in recent years.
