Moscow Museum of Modern Art presents an exhibition
“This Is Not a Book: a collection of Dmitry Volkov. The story of man, his art and library ".
For the first time, two collections of a collector will be presented to the general public at once: contemporary art (a collection of works by contemporary Russian artists) and rare editions of philosophical treatises.
Among the authors represented are conceptual painters, photographers and sculptors, performance artists, masters of mixed media: Andrey Bartenev, Dmitry Gutov, Ivan Gorshkov, Vladimir Dubosarsky and Alexander Vinogradov, Konstantin Zvezdochetov, Dmitry Kavarga, Irina Korina, Andrey Kuzkin, Oleg Kulik, MishMash, Dmitry :: vtol :: Morozov, Gosha Ostretsov, Pavel Pepperstein, Victor Pivovarov, Alexander Povzner, Timofey Radya, Leonid Sokov, Valery Chtak and others. All the "heroes" of the exhibition enter into dialogue with rare philosophical treatises by Bacon and Descartes, Kant and Hegel, Husserl and Wittgenstein and other philosophers, presented in the museum hall as artifacts.
