The exhibition complex of the State Historical Museum hosts an exhibition"Russian wedding".
The exhibition displays paintings, photographs, object complexes, icons of the 17th century, painted by tsarist isographers in the 1680s, wooden high reliefs depicting a peasant wedding, samples of textiles and hats.
Among the paintings are the famous painting by the unknown artist of the eighteenth century, "The Bachelorette Party in the City of Toropets" from the collection of the Historical Museum, as well as the famous painting by the artist M. Shibanov "The Celebration of the Wedding Treaty" of 1777, which is stored in the Tretyakov Gallery, and the painting "The Old Rite of the Bride's Blessing in Murom "I. S. Kulikova from the Vladimir-Suzdal Museum-Reserve.
