Frightening tales. Art glass of Julia Merzlikina

The State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve Tsaritsyno presents an exhibition“Terrible tales. Art glass of Julia Merzlikina ».

At the personal exhibition of the famous Russian glass artist, scenes and images from Russian fairy tales and ancient Greek myths, magic flowers and masks of nature’s spirits embodied in glass are presented. The exposition is supplemented by the works of famous masters of the 1980-1990s from the collection of the Tsaritsyno Museum: Boris Fedorov, Galina Ivanova, Franz Chernyak, Vladimir Murakhver and Natalya Volikova, in tune with the fabulous images of Yulia Merzlikina.

The works of Julia Merzlikina, a well-known master of art glass, Honored Artist of Russia and a corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Arts, are included in collections of Russian and European museums, such as the State Russian Museum, the All-Russian Museum of Decorative, Applied and Folk Art, the Moscow Museum of Modern Art, and the Museum-Estate Kuskovo ”, the Glass Museum of the Elaginoostrovsky Palace Museum in St. Petersburg, the Crystal Museum in Gus-Khrustalny, the Lviv Museum of Glass, as well as galleries in the USA, Finland, Switzerland, Hungary, Czech Republic.
