Dreams of Gogol
Exhibition January 23 − February 13, 2020
ArtOdessa Gallery hosts the exhibition "Dreams of Gogol". The exhibition features 23 paintings by artists from Odessa and Chernigov.
“Gogol’s dreams are associations, thoughts, hypotheses, allusions and reminiscences from the complex, vibrant and beautiful art world of the writer. Performed in different styles and techniques, the works presented at the exhibition seek to interpret the phenomenon of Nikolai Vasilievich himself as a creator and the paradox of his great and magnificent literature, which underlies our concepts of mystical and religious in Russian and Ukrainian cultures, ”the annotation to exhibition.
Their works were presented by Ekaterina Biletina, Leonid Bagriy, Igor Vareshkin, Konstantin Skoptsov, Valery Yukhimov, Svyatoslav Podlevsky and Evgeny Shapovalov.
