Mordovian Republican Museum of Fine Arts. S.D. Erzi in the halls of the Museum of Mordovian Folk Culture presents an exhibition of artist Viktor Kuzmich Ryskin
"Motives of the native land".
Visitors can see 48 works of the author, made in the technique of painting and graphics.
Viktor Ryskin’s works are filled with tranquility, soft warmth and light. The artist transfers all the beauty and palette of the surrounding nature of his native land, the face of his friends, relatives and acquaintances to the canvas. This is a forest glade flooded with light, a blue expanse of a river or lake with a mirror surface, red-brown cows by the river, a village street, overgrown swamps and a road that goes into the forest ("Friends", 2016, "Road to the Forest", 2019); pre-storm condition and stress of space (“Waiting for a thunderstorm”, 2016). Portraits of women and men made with a light touch are interesting. The artist’s work is a peculiar story about the world in which we live.
