"European light"- the first exhibition in Italy, dedicated to Georges de Latour - Lorraine painter, the largest caravagist of the XVII century, the master of chiaroscuro. In the XVIII-XIX centuries, his name was forgotten.
Latour portrays angels, saints without halo or iconographic attributes, and prefers images written off from people of low rank, rather than historical models or high-ranking characters.
For the first time in Milan, visitors will get acquainted with the world and work of Georges de Latour. They are presented to the world of extraordinary images, decisive gestures, inner contemplation, which fascinates and excites.
