The State Tretyakov Gallery presents a large-scale exhibition of the People's Artist of the Russian Federation, academician of the Russian Academy of Arts, sculptorAlexander Iulianovich Rukavashnikov.

Viewers will be able to see the work of Alexander Rukavishnikov in a wide chronological range, starting from the earliest works and ending with new works that Rukavishnikov performed specifically for this project.

Alexander Iulianovich Rukavishnikov (born 1950) is one of the leading masters of contemporary Russian sculpture, the author of numerous monumental works, such as the monument to F.M. Dostoevsky at the Russian State Library, a monument to Alexander II at the Cathedral of Christ the Savior, a monument to Yu.V. Nikulin at the circus on Tsvetnoy Boulevard, the Spartak sculpture at the Otkrytiye Arena stadium in Moscow and others. Being one of the most daring experimenters in the field of sculptural form, the master created a whole gallery of vivid images, often causing numerous disputes both among professionals and among the general public.
