Pop art on paper. From Warhol to Liechtenstein

The Berlin Engraving Office presents the highlights of its collection of pop art, which is one of the most important in Europe.

Based on 1960s American prints and pioneers of pop art Andy Warhol and Roy Lichtenstein, “Pop art on paper"Reveals a wide range of styles and themes from the works of such different artists as Klas Oldenburg, James Rosenquist, Elaine Sturtevant, Allen Jones, Sigmar Polke, Maria Lassnig and others.

The big topic of "classic" pop art was the fight against the trivial, mass-produced and distributed products of the American consumer society.
