Art gallery Compton Verney represents
the exhibition "Quentin Blake: inside stories". The best works of one of the most beloved in the world of children's illustrators, will allow each visitor to briefly plunge into the world of childhood.
Blake illustrated his own works and collaborated with well-known authors such as Roald Dahl ("BDV", "Matilda", "Charlie and the chocolate factory" - a total of 18 works), David Walliams ("the boy in the dress"), Michael Rosen ("Sad book") and others. The artist is the recipient of many awards, including the honor for the creators of children's books the international prize of Hans Christian Anderson (2002).
The exhibition will be presented over 140 works, much of which have never before been exhibited outside the Studio of Quentin Blake. Familiar to all who "come from childhood", the illustration will allow visitors to briefly escape from everyday problems, to remember how they had an adventure with a Great and Kind Giant, like looking for a Golden ticket under the paper wrapper, like singing along with the Oompa-Lomami on the magical chocolate factory...
The exhibition will be available from 21 October until 17 December 2017.
