Ladislav Vihodil. 20th century scene
Exhibition February 29 − August 16, 2020
Slovak National Gallery Exhibition dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the professor Ladislav Vihodil (1920-2005).
The exposition presents stage design in all genre manifestations, from painting to photography; divided in accordance with artistic principles and vividly reflects Vikhodil’s views on stage design at different periods of his work.
Many of the works presented are exhibited for the first time, others have already traveled the world. Expositions and collections of the past have been enriched with materials not yet published from the Thompson Library at Ohio State University. Visitors will get acquainted with the work of the artist, who has been creating scenography for almost six decades and has created stage projects for hundreds of productions at home and abroad.
