Rodin! Experimental work and recognized masterpieces

Exhibition October 21, 2020 − February 21, 2021
The Tate Modern Gallery organizes a largeexhibition of the great sculptor-impressionist Auguste Rodin.

In addition to works from the permanent exhibitions of museums, visitors will be able to see experimental etude sculptures and little-known works of Rodin. In the halls of the gallery plan to post more than 150 works by the author.

Auguste Rodin was primarily famous for marble and bronze sculptures, however, it is gypsum and clay as the most plastic materials that can demonstrate the sculptor's ingenious ability to capture and materialize light, volume, movement and emotions. The sculptures of the author, bearing traces of their creation, challenge the generally accepted notions of beauty and open to the audience new aspects of creating masterpieces.
