Modern. Art of the first half of the XX century

Exhibition June 22 − December 30, 2020
Hungarian National Gallery invites to visit the exhibition“Modern. Art of the first half of the XX century ”.

The exposition dedicated to the iconic works of fine art from 1896 to 1945 features more than 150 paintings, 30 sculptures and 200 medals.
The exhibition includes the works of the symbolists Bela Chobel, Deshos Chigani, Bertalan Pore, Karoli Kernstock, avant-garde artists Jozsef Nemes Lampert, Bel Witz, Sandor Bortnik, Lajos Tihani, as well as exhibits from the collection of the Museum of Applied Art, including designer furniture and ceramics.

Visitors will be able to get acquainted with the stylistic aspects of all areas of fine art of the first half of the XX century, the decades preceding the Second World War.
