Walter Gramatta and Hamburg

Hamburg Kunsthalle presents an exhibitionWalter Gramatta and Hamburg.

The exposition will comprise more than 100 paintings, drawings and engravings by the German artist Walter Gramatt (1897-1929). Hamburg Kunsthalle will present its collection of works by the author, which is the largest in the world.

Walter Gramatta worked in an individual style, which is a combination of elements of expressionism, realism, symbolism and surrealism. At the age of 32, he died of tuberculosis. During his short life, the artist managed to create more than 320 works.
