National Museum of Sweden holds an exhibition
"Treasury Department. Portrait miniatures of six centuries ".
The exposition consists of 1170 magnificent miniatures from the world's largest collection of portrait miniatures of the National Museum of Sweden, which has about five and a half thousand works.
For the first time, miniature painting is shown in context, along with other accessories such as jewelry, accessories, boxes, canes and pocket watches. A significant part of the collection belonged to the great collector Karl Fredrik Dahlgren, while more exclusive works were donated by industrialist Hyalmar Wikander.
