The Royal Museum of Fine Arts of Belgium in the halls of the Gallery of Old Masters is holding an exhibitionBruegel. Originals"
The exposition is timed to coincide with the 450th anniversary of the death of Pieter Bruegel the Elder and will present the audience with the second largest collection of masterpieces of the master of the era.
Bruegel's artistic career was short-lived - he died about 40 years old. Today, only about forty of his paintings have survived to this day, which makes them extremely rare and valuable. The exhibits of the exhibition will acquaint you with a whole range of characters - sometimes peculiar, sometimes recognizable. In addition, visitors will see about a dozen works by Bruegel's sons and other followers.
