Time Machine. The Best of the Ludwig Museum Collection

Museum Ludwig (Museum of Contemporary Art) invites you to visit the exhibition"Time Machine. The best from the collection of the Museum Ludwig ".

The exhibition presents works related to time, the passage of time and significant dates, and then gives an idea of individual fates and family stories. Several hundred exhibits illustrate various aspects of personal, artistic and historical time.

In connection with Picasso, we remember how the greatest innovators of the twentieth century reflected on their great predecessors, the history of painting, weaving an invisible web between eras, works and artists, we look at how the "outsider" sees Western art. The near dystopian future and futuristic present includes an installation about medicine, the human body and psyche, as well as a film about modern warfare, war trauma and virtual reality. The moment of death is given special attention as the end point of human destiny, the path of life. The works also draw attention to the fragility and uniqueness of human existence, to the absurdity of wars and everyday life.
