East is a delicate matter
Exhibition "East is a delicate matter" devoted to the history of restoration of objects of East Asian art. More than 100 exhibits from the collections of 15 museums of Russia take part in it.
The exposition is divided into three parts, each of which is devoted to the culture and art of the ancient states of the East: Japan, China and the Kalmyk Khanate. Each of the sections presents a wide range of decorative and applied arts, original and printed graphics, and examples of sacred art.
Visitors will be able to see refurbished exhibits from five of the Center's workshops: ornate textiles, fine ceramics, lacquer boxes, fans, traditional Chinese miniatures and woodcuts from the Edo period.
