Time to collect. Private collections of contemporary art
Exhibition December 11, 2020 − February 28, 2021
An exhibition was opened in the main building of the Museum of Modern Art in Odessa “Time to collect. Private collections of contemporary art ".
The exposition includes works selected from private collections of contemporary art collectors: Andrei Adamovsky, Boris and Tatiana Grinev, Anatoly Dymchuk, Vadim Morokhovsky. Visitors will be able to see more than 200 rare works by Salvador Dali, Marc Chagall, Tatiana Yablonskaya, Zinaida Serebryakova, Vasily Ermilov, Arsen Savadov, Ilya and David Chichkanov, Vlada Ralko, Valeria Trubina and many others.
According to the curators, the goal of the project is to acquaint the viewer with the concept of collecting. The art space in the museum is spread over two floors. The first - with an emphasis on more traditional paintings, and the second - with outrageous modern art. There are images of the world's leaders with monkey heads, skulls, comic chickens and photos of naked people.
