Banksy and street art

Exhibition January 5 − February 7, 2021
The Samara Regional Museum of History and Local Lore named after P.V. Alabin holds an exhibition Banksy and Street Art.

The core of the exhibition was the author's prints of the popular British street art artist Banksy, signed by the author and certified by his certification service. The exhibition space also brought together artists Vf (Moscow), Katherine Vinogradov (London), Liu Wei (Beijing), Lizaveta Kesakri (Poznan), Anastasia Kop (St. Petersburg), the Dobro group (St. Petersburg) and a number of works by anonymous authors. The subject range is complemented by works by Samara street art artists.

Banksy (Banksy) - British street art artist, the most famous living. Banksy has received international acclaim for its distinctive style of satirical street art and screen-printed graffiti. His works on acute social issues are often accompanied by ironic epigrams that contain comments on the social and political aspects of modern society. The artist's witty works, directed against war, capitalism and moralizing, become the subject of hunting for journalists, photographers, vandals, art critics and collectors.

"Art will find you even if you don't want it, you will find art even if it doesn't want it." This is what we say about street art, always unexpected and very poignant. How unusual and original it can be, visitors will be able to see at the exhibition in the Museum. P.V. Alabina.
