From Monet to Picasso. Herbert Butliner collection

Exhibition November 14, 2020 − May 24, 2021
Albertina Gallery presents an exhibition “From Monet to Picasso. Herbert Butliner Collection ".

Visitors will be able to see a unique exhibition, the starting point of which was the works of the artists of impressionism and post-impressionism - Edgar Degas, Paul Cezanne, Claude Monet, as well as canvases by representatives of the Russian avant-garde - Goncharova, Malevich, Chagall.

Herbert Butliner, one of the greatest art collectors of our time, passed away on June 8, 2019. Picasso's many works culminate in collector's fame, from his early Cubist paintings to mature works of the 1940s and outstanding, previously unseen prints, to late experimental works. Thanks to the Butliner Collection, the Albertina Museum owns one of the most important collections of classical modernist painting.
