Oliver Larik. Time interval

Exhibition February 13 − May 30, 2021
Museum of Contemporary Art, Ghent (SMAK) hosts an exhibition “Oliver Larik. Time interval".

The exhibition introduces visitors to the sculptural and multimedia works of the Austrian artist, which touch upon the themes of pop culture, media, the relationship between the past and the present, and globalization.

Oliver Larick sees form as a process of continuous change and variable content. In new works, he visualizes the transformation of organic matter and living organisms. Using digitally simulated footage, he sketches the processes of growth, decay and decay over time. By this he wants to emphasize that everything in nature continues to move, even if the smallest changes are not immediately noticeable to the naked eye.
