Vancouver Art Gallery hosts an exhibition “Mythological time. Stories that inspire us ".
Artists on display include Robert Davidson, Francisco de Goya, Jerome Le Havre, David Hockney, Cindy Mochizuki, Ed Pien, Oswaldo Ramirez Castillo, Marina Roy, Royal Art Lodge, Kaulin Smith, Amanda Strong, Camilla Turner, Howie Tsui and Joyce Wieland.
As they awaken the spirit world, delve into the depths of their imaginations, or try to find meaning in historical and current events, authors reflect on existential topics such as culture, community, memory, morality and identity to talk about the past, present and future. Stories That Inspire Us invites the public to reflect on the importance of storytelling in their lives by asking the questions: What stories inspire you, what stories need to be told, and which ones will you tell next?
