The State Kunsthalle in Karlsruhe holds an exhibition “Francois Boucher. Rococo Artist ".
The first such large-scale monographic exhibition of the artist in Germany is dedicated to the 250th anniversary of the death of this influential painter. The exhibition features paintings and expressive, graceful and virtuoso drawings by Francois Boucher.
The artist's compositions are typical of their time and served as a source of inspiration for the creation of tapestries and decorations, furniture and porcelain. Boucher's works are rightfully considered the best embodiment of French Rococo art.
