Visitors will be able to see magnificent large-format color lithographs and linocuts by Picasso from the museum's collection.
The Kunsthalle was one of the first German museums to acquire the artist's works after 1945. The purchases were made by the Bremen-based gallerist Michael Hertz, who exclusively represented Picasso's graphics in Germany - forward-thinking at a time when Picasso's work was still receiving criticism. Guided by a keen instinct, Hertz has placed the works at auctions and key exhibitions. Thanks to his dedication, Picasso's work soon became popular with museums and collectors.
