Museum collection: favorites

Exhibition January 2 − August 8, 2021
National Museum of Women's Art (NMWA) Presents Exhibition "Museum collection: favorites".

Fragments of the collection are divided into thematic groups that highlight the links between historical and contemporary art, as well as ideas explored by women around the world and over time.

The artists featured in the gallery convey the impact that family life, physical activities, personal travel, social activities have on the perception of oneself and others. The Rebels with a Cause theme demonstrates that these artists - and often the people they depict - have blazed trails and promoted radical change over the centuries. The “In Nature” section of the exhibition - the reaction of artists to the earthly realm - whether representative, abstract or conceptual - reflects the diversity of nature and its individual experience.
