The Plessk State Historical, Architectural and Art Museum-Reserve, together with the Russian Academy of Arts, presents an exhibition of a full member of the Russian Academy of Arts (2001), a member of the Presidium of the Russian Academy of Arts (2001), People's Artist of the Russian Federation (2014), Professor
Tatyana Grigorievna Nazarenko "Space of memory".
The basis of the exhibition was made up of works and art objects from the famous cycle "Family Album", which were complemented by landscapes and genre paintings by the master. For the first time, together with works of art, viewers will be able to see genuine photographs, letters and objects from the author's personal archive, which served as the starting point for creating the project.
The Family Album cycle (2010-2011) continues the theme of the continuous interaction of the past and the present in the life of every person, once presented in the now classic work Moscow Evening (1978, State Tretyakov Gallery). The theme of eternal values in the context of personal experiences and the private history of each individual family - as part of the vast history of the country and the people - are multiplied by the artist on the asceticism of expressive means. This technique lends a documentary narrative. The purpose of this message is to make people think and call them to sympathy in the era of the drama of deepening human loneliness unfolding before our eyes in the digital world.
