Exhibition May 6 − June 13, 2021
The Yekaterinburg Museum of Fine Arts and SKB Kontur present a personal exhibition of the world famous traveler-record holder, navigator and climber Fyodor Konyukhov Life-long journey.

The exhibition will bring together more than 40 paintings and graphic works - from early chamber works created by Konyukhov in the late 1970s to large-scale and expressively emotional paintings of recent years. The works are executed in various techniques and demonstrate the artist's passion for several genres at the same time, among which a clear preference is given to landscape. Most of the work was created by the artist from sketches, on which he worked during his solo voyages around the world and research expeditions. Looking at these paintings and engravings, the viewer can easily catch the artist's genuine joy from unity with nature and the purity of his feelings.

The narration of the exposition is supplemented by the master's quotes from his autobiography and commentaries on selected works - all this is aimed at creating an atmosphere of immersion in the Konyukhov's diary story from the first person. The path along which she develops passes through the main meanings of any of his travels, which have both an earthly and a sacred dimension. In addition, within the framework of the exhibition, a documentary film dedicated to the art of Konyukhov, specially created by the Russian Museum, will be shown, in which he himself will tell about his creative searches.
