Prado National Museum hosts an exhibition “Testament of Carmen Sanchez. Final lesson ".
This exhibition pays tribute to the museum's activist and benefactor, whose generosity made it possible to acquire magnificent works of art. The bequest made by Carmen Sanchez García (1929-2016) to the Prado Museum allowed the purchase of numerous paintings, reflecting the will to leave most of his estate “for the acquisition and restoration of paintings in particular”.
A teacher by profession, Carmen Sanchez Garcia has been associated with Colegio Nervión almost from the very beginning of her career. Since 2003, she has been a friend of the Fundación Amigos del Museo del Prado, regularly participating in the museum's courses and educational activities.
